Our Mission
Over 25 million Americans have limited English proficiency. When they call a doctor's office, a government agency, or an emergency hotline, they often face a frustrating experience: long hold times waiting for an interpreter, miscommunication through untrained bilingual staff, or outright inability to get the help they need.
SpeechTranslate exists to solve this. We provide instant, bidirectional speech-to-speech translation for phone calls — powered by AI, delivered through the browser, and built on AWS infrastructure that enterprises and government agencies can trust.
Our goal is simple: make every phone call work, regardless of language. No interpreter hold times. No app downloads. No language barriers.

Our Technology
SpeechTranslate is built entirely on AWS, using a multi-provider architecture that combines the best speech and translation services from Amazon, Microsoft, and Google. The platform runs as a multi-tenant SaaS application with per-tenant data planes deployed in customer AWS accounts for complete data sovereignty.
The real-time audio pipeline uses WebRTC for low-latency transport, AudioWorklet for gapless playback, and a custom Voice Activity Detection (VAD) model to minimize unnecessary processing. The result is speech-to-speech translation in under 300 milliseconds — fast enough for natural conversation.
The platform integrates natively with Amazon Connect, enabling real-time translation for PSTN phone calls through the Contact Control Panel (CCP) softphone. Agents use their existing workflow — the translation happens transparently in the background.
